Learn More About Doctor Fink

Brief info

Dr. Fink is originally from Michigan but grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. Medicine is a family tradition established by his father, a plastic surgeon and mother, a registered nurse. Dr. Fink's interest in plastic surgery peaked when he accompanied his parents on mission trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic. He assisted his father in various plastic surgery procedures. The underprivileged people of these countries were so appreciative to receive surgical care. As a result of his parent's influence, Dr. Fink and both his siblings chose careers in the medical field.

Dr. Fink returned to the Midwest to attend Wheaton College, a well-regarded Christian liberal arts college near Chicago where he obtained a degree in psychology. Medical school followed at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Post internship, Dr. Fink completed an ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery Residency at McLaren Oakland Hospital, a major trauma center in Pontiac, Michigan. Residency training provided facial plastic and head and neck reconstructive surgeries at other well-known hospitals including University of Michigan, Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University and William Beaumont Hospital.

Dr. Fink subsequently spent a year in fellowship through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery under the direction of Howard Tobin MD, who was the immediate past president of the Academy. Dr. Fink trained in a busy, full body cosmetic surgery practice where patients traveled from all over Texas to have cosmetic surgery. The following year, Dr. Fink returned to Michigan establishing his practice as an ENT/Facial Plastic Surgeon at St. John River District Hospital in the Detroit metropolitan area. He was the primary surgeon for facial trauma in the Emergency Department. During that time, Dr. Fink returned to Mexico for more surgical mission projects.
After ten years of solo practice, Dr. Fink was invited to join an expanding national company of Board-Certified Plastic and Facial Plastic Surgeons.
